A man is dead after crashing a stolen vehicle during a police chase Friday. Police started chasing the man after he hit a patrol vehicle and ran during a traffic stop and later intentionally hit another car.

One person was killed early Thursday morning in a shooting in West Dallas, police say. Officers responded to reports of gunfire about 12:55 a.m. in the 3100 block of Gulden Lane, near Singleton Boulevard. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital, where they died.

DALLAS — A 21-year-old was shot and killed in northwest Dallas, police said. Officers responded to a shooting around 5 a.m. Saturday in the 9000 block of Sovereign Row, Dallas police said in a press release. The victim, who was later identified as 21-year-old Joseph Ortega, died at the scene police said.
