Texas students now need top 5% rank for automatic admission to UT-Austin
The University of Texas at Austin is making it a little more challenging for Texas high school students to get into the flagship university, lowering its automatic admission threshold from top 6 percent to top 5 percent of their graduating class starting in the fall 2026 semester.
