God of War Ragnarok is finally out on Steam, except it has launched to a Mixed rating on Steam, and yes, it is because of that PSN requirement.

God of War Ragnarok made its way to Steam a year and ten months after its initial PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 console releases. Unfortunately for many users, it has launched with a PlayStation Network account requirement despite being a single-player game.

Ragnarok was the target of a review bombing effort back in 2022 as well.

God of War Ragnarök has a ‘mixed’ user review rating on Steam following its PC launch, with most of the complaints revolving around Sony’s controversial PlayStation Network Account requirement. Sony had made it clear on the God of War Ragnarök Steam page that a PlayStation Network account would be required to play Sony Santa Monica’s purely single-player adventure,

The 2022 hit is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $59.99, if you can look past the PSN account and 175GB requirement.

God of War Ragnarok releases on Steam to an underwhelming number of players when compared to 2018's God of War, which launched on Steam in 2022.

The PC version of God of War Ragnarök releases on Thursday 19th September at 4pm (BST) / 11am (ET). It is available to download from Steam and the Epic Games Store, but you must link a PlayStation Network Account in order to play it.
