The International Cricket Council has approved a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy which will see the tournament played in Dubai and Pakistan

England are Australia's first Champions Trophy opponents in Pakistan in February but Pat Cummins' team could end up playing the final in Dubai.

The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan and Dubai, after hosts Pakistan selected the UAE as a neutral venue for their rivals India, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Tuesday. Holders Pakistan will host an ICC event for the first time in 28 years.

Pakistan will take on arch-rival India in the marquee group game of the 2025 Champions Trophy in Dubai on Feb. 23 after the ICC finally announced the schedule for the tournament.

The ICC revised schedule for the tournament has India playing group matches, semifinal 1 and final, if required, in UAE.

ICC announced the Champions Trophy schedule for its upcoming iteration as India will be opening their campaign with a clash against Bangladesh on February 20th. The all-important battle between arch-rivals, India and Pakistan will be played three days later in Dubai on February 23rd.

The tournament is set to begin on 19 February in Karachi and will run until 9 March. Bangladesh, placed in Group A, will kick off their campaign on 20 February against arch-rival India in Dubai.

India and Pakistan will be played on February 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

India's differently-abled cricket team will face Pakistan in two matches at the Physical Disabled Cricket Champions Trophy 2025 in Colombo, from January 12 to 21.
