Aranda has been in the lineup for seven of the Rays' last eight games, including five appearances at first base. In that limited sample, he's gone 7-for-25 with two homers, three RBI, three doubles and five runs scored.

The final weeks of a season that is ending short of the playoffs can be a drag for some players.
