OU men's basketball escaped non-conference play undefeated. The Sooners are 13-0 heading into SEC play and here are some things we've learned.

OU has now won four of the six meetings in the series with NMSU. All eyes, however, now turn to No. 5-ranked Texas, who visits Norman Thursday in an 8 p.m. showdown on ESPN2, before hitting the road at Tennessee next Sunday. The SEC includes eight teams in this week’s AP Top 25.

Oklahoma women’s basketball remained No. 9 in the AP Poll on Monday. OU has not moved in the AP Top 25 and keeps its spot in the top 10 going into conference play. Oklahoma was undefeated in Dec., going 6-0 during the month. This is the program’s 15th perfect month in its history and its first since Dec. 2022.

The 10th-ranked OU women’s basketball team sleepwalked through its non-conference finale against New Mexico State on Sunday with an 82-64 victory.
