Reports of massive, quarter-sized hail falling from the sky in Houston on Christmas Eve appeared all over social media on Tuesday afternoon as a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch was issued for Harris County.

The Storm Prediction Center issued a level 1 (out of 5) risk of severe weather that stretches from Interstate 30 in East Texas to Interstate 10 west of Houston.
