Gaza's Health Ministry says an Israeli strike killed five Palestinian journalists outside a hospital overnight. Israel says they were militants posing as reporters.

TV said journalists were killed in a strike in Nuseirat in Gaza. The Israeli military said it struck a vehicle carrying “an Islamic Jihad terrorist cell.”

Palestinian sources said that Israeli strikes in Gaza on Thursday killed at least 45 people including hospital workers and journalists for a militant-linked broadcaster.Five staff at one of northern Gaza's last functioning hospitals were among those killed,

Israel and Hamas on Wednesday accused each other of obstructing negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, after Israel withdrew its negotiators from the talks the previous day. Israeli media reported on Wednesday that the refusal by the Palestinian Islamist militia Hamas to hand over a list of the names of the hostages it still holds is hindering progress in the negotiations.
