Typically, a white Christmas is not something we see here in Philadelphia or much of the Delaware Valley. The exception to that would be the northern edge of the Lehigh Valley in the Poconos, which obviously has a much better chance of snow any time during the winter season.

This year, if you want a white Christmas, there's always the Poconos. It'll be cold enough to have the snow machines going. Or, head to New England. Portions of New England are forecasted to receive snow Christmas Eve morning. So, people up there get to wake up to snow still on the ground as they open gifts.

Philly has gotten off to a shaky start this season, holding an underwhelming record of 10-17. They’ve seen a number of injuries plague their roster and create uncertainty from night to night, but the Celtics have a little uncertainty themselves for tonight’s festivities.

It'll be a snowless Christmas and holiday season for the Philadelphia metro area, as the slight warming trend will continue through the new year.
