Ryan Simpson, 41, of Portland was taken into custody following a single-vehicle crash and foot pursuit with his dog, police say.

Police say a Portland man with two outstanding warrants fled the scene of a crash at the curve of the Interstate 95 Exit 45 northbound toll in South Portland, Maine, on Sept. 18, 2024.

Police say that while the suspect was running away from a trooper, he tried to get in a car that was stopped at a red light but the passenger door was locked.
